Transgender Bathroom Rights?

The U.S. Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, fired a broadside against state’s rights yesterday with her pronouncement which basically attempted to equate transgender bathroom issues to Jim Crow laws.  She does not believe that this is a state’s rights issue, and is suing North Carolina because that state didn’t roll over and play dead as she desired.  North Carolina’s law requires transgendered people to use the bathroom of the sex on their birth certificate rather than the one they identify with.

This is apparently another attempt to further erode states’ rights and make everything subject to a federal mandate since then the federal government can finally have total control over every aspect of each of our lives.  The idea that individual states can make decisions that might fly in the face of what she believes is simply not to be permitted.

Dr. Ben Carson had a very pointed way of framing his thoughts on this matter on Neil Cavuto’s show yesterday:

“That’s what they always say,  Everything is like Jim Crow.  Everything is like racism and segregation and slavery.  What a bunch of crap.”  Carson went on to say that people should “go back to recognizing data and science.  You know, we know what men are, and we know what women are, and we’ve known that for thousands of years.”

Not often mentioned are the issues with people posing as being transgendered but doing so for nefarious reasons.  There are too many perverted people to simply make their perversion legal by ignoring their sex at birth and permitting them to comingle with males or with females for reasons having no relationship to what gender they perceive themselves to be.

We are asking for many different kinds of problems if this is made the law of the land.

Elections have consequences beyond what we might be thinking of when we cast a vote. There is a very real difference between liberal positions and conservative positions especially is the realms such as recognition of transgendered people by permitting them to comingle simply because they prefer to do so for whatever the real reason might be.

Elections can have very grave consequences.  We need to remember that in this particular election season.
